Contamination Disambiguation
-
I am sorry if this question was answered elsewhere, but I am having a hard time to find an answer. Concerning contamination of images, I would appreciate some more clarification. For example, would this one classify as contaminated?

Hi @BradleyMarleau,
This object moves off the crosshairs, so it's indeed contaminated.

I would say yes. It's a binary system, so maybe secondary component is source of contamination.

Why would this object be contaminated? Image is round at WISE 4, can't see multiple object.

It looks to me like it's extended beyond the circle at WISE 4. Probably some interstellar dust. Alas!

AWI0005axj is extended beyond the circle but it doesn't seem to be from a cirrus of interstellar dust.
still on contamination disambiguation there is this one: AWI0002nht
clearly extended, contaminated.
what about keeping it simple? extension = contamination.
