Must be A Binary Star. How would you Spot a Comet from a Binary Star in the Telescope Images?

Great question Paul; comets are spotted by using plates that accept visable light that has been reflected off the comet. Our plates eliminated the possibility of confirming a comet because our focus is on heat producing bodies in a single instance of observation. That is why if you see an object in only 1 plate it is not a multiple, you must see it in two plates our more and then its a hot body not a cold body like comets.
