Strange SEDs

What makes a strange Spectral Energy Distribution (SED)? First, go learn about SEDs here In general, we are looking for SEDs that look like a camel with two humps, or a camel with one broadish hump. Very flat SEDs or SEDs that jump all over the place may be indicative of a galaxy, contamination, or an artifact. An example of an unusual SED that doesn't look like a debris disk or a galaxy is this example of a Carbon star. Click on the "SED" pane to see the star's energy output as a function of wavelength!
