Something weird in DSS2 image.

  Look at the image of the object in the 0.975 micrometer wavelength and there are these "tentacles" like things.What is causing this?

  Hi. I have seen this a few times in DSS2, so it is associated with their detector. My guess is dust on the detector (textile fibers).
