Questionable DSS2 Images

    The DSS2 images are very strange in this set of data, especially the first image. Can anyone explain what is shown in the first few images? I have three theories:

    A) The light from the other stars is somehow altering the image
    B) The strange pattern is caused by what appears to be a near by nebula (shown in the last image)
    C) The first picture was muddled, altered, or made worthless by outside causes

    If anyone knows please respond.

    That's right. Poor image quality is not caused by an object in this image, but by an image processing. You can notice that a lot of DSS Blue images have a similar quality.
